The above are the first two lines of the Scout Vespers. It’s a song that is sung by many a Boy Scout at the end of a meeting, or as a good night at the campfire.

I came across this article about a young Boy Scout who recently died due to cancer. The end of the article features a poem that the young man wrote before he died.

I highly recommend reading his story and the poem. Then “Go and get out there.”
